Zoe and Physiotherapy
Zoe is an enthusiastic Sports Physiotherapist and horsey fanatic. Zoe has provided Physiotherapy services for riders from all disciplines and levels for more than a decade. Highlights of Zoe’s Physiotherapy career to date have included contracting to Equestrian Australia assisting the national High Performance Squads as well as state squads through Equestrian Western Australia and Equestrian Victoria and Victorian AOR, providing online content and in-person consultations, and on an individual level, successfully rehabilitating countless riders back to their peak performance and beyond, assisting many individuals with persistent pain to ride pain free and facilitating Para athletes to live their best lives, in and out of the saddle.
Zoe started her career in Western Australia after graduating as a Physiotherapist in 2009. She relocated to the Mornington Peninsula in 2015 and continued working in private practice, consulting at Peninsula Sports Medicine Group and The Sports Injury Clinic in Frankston. In 2021, Zoe opened The Beach Physio located within Safety Beach Medical and Wellness, working with a team of inspiring allied health and medical professionals that are classed as her ‘work family’. This is where Zoe resides when she is not at The Riders Physio located at Boneo Park Equestrian Cenre.
Zoe has a well trained eye for rider biomechanics and a thorough understanding of the physical requirements to be an effective rider. She provides riders with the tools to improve their physical capacity as a rider athlete, through education in regards to what needs to be done and why, prescription of self-management programs (including therapeutic and sport specific exercises), manual therapy, taping/bracing and so on. Zoe has taught Clinical Pilates for many years which can be incorporated in the riders performance program.
Zoe has further postgraduate education in the area of Equine Physiotherapy which she has partly attained through the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Dedication to enhancing her knowledge and professional development is at the forefront of her priorities.

Zoe in the Horse World
Zoe is a keen dressage rider and spends the majority of her out of work time (and all of her money) on her horses or doing something equestrian related.
Zoe has been riding for more than 25 years, and continues to strive to better herself and her mounts as a competitive dressage rider. Zoe has been a member of State Development and Young Rider Dressage Squads in Victoria and Western Australia. From early teens, and to this day, Zoe seeks regular guidance from world class coaches and trainers, including Australian and International Olympians and A level dressage judges. Zoe has an appreciation of all three Olympic disciplines and believes in a varied training program, even for a ‘dressage horse’.
Living on the Mornington Peninsula with her horses based at Boneo Park, Zoe is well positioned to soak up the knowledge that surrounds her from some of the leaders in the dressage and equestrian world.
